Hotmelt gelatine for medium and quick-operating casemakers
PräMelt OT24 Digital is a ready-to-use hot animal glue. It has a rather short open time, high initial tack and stands for high
adhesion and clean processing.
Characterisctics: Viscosity *(mPas) 1000 - 1200
(undiluted at 60° C) (*Brookfield RF – 20 RPM – Sp. 2)
Open time: medium (approx. 24 seconds)
Refractometer value: 61 - 65 %
Working temperature: 61 - 63° C (at the glue rollers)
Colour: brown
(Colour deviation has no effect on the quality of the adhesive.)
Special features: High adhesion. Also suitable for difficult materials.
Especially suitable for digitally printed covers and genuine photo papers.
Instructions for use: PräMelt should be premelted at a temperature of max. 55° C.
If the machine is stopped for a longer period of time, the termperature must
be lowered to avoid volatilization or combustion.
The amount of glue to be applied depends on the machine type and the
materials to be bonded.
PräMelt builds an elastic and tension-free glue layer.
Dilution: between 5 % and 10 % warm water
The dilution ratio depends on the material used and the environmental
conditions / humidity. Insufficient dilution and / or if the temperature is too
low may cause a stringy and viscous adhesive.
Cleaning: With warm water. We especially recommend our separating agent Partinol.
Shelf life: Shelf life: approx. 6 months, if kept in a cool and dry place (max. 20°C).
Package: Pileable boxes of approx. 25 kgs with 10 PE bags of 2.5 kgs.
